Comments for UNC Board of Governors votes 22 to 2 to eliminate DEI programs | Eastern North Carolina Now

When Governor deSantis took over in Florida, New College was virtually a far left hippy commune, and we he appointed new trustees to move it to a traditional liberal arts college, a lot of those lefties left, and good riddance.

New College abolished DEI and did not have quotas, and the result was an INCREASE in enrollement of minorities. When a college or university accepts students based on them as individuals, as New College does, instead of by racial quota, it is a positive thing for everybody.

In short, Little Bobbie, you spin is your usual BS.

Do you even read- at New College they lowered the entrance qualification, took a whole lot of athletes who tend to be black and offered them a spot. On the one hand, good for them, on the other hand, a lot of students fled New College.
So essentially, they did the thing you guys b*tch about the most. They slanted they enrollment by race. Ha!
And none of you bothered to read that far. Just cherry picked what you thought was the good stuff. And that my friends is why you wont win the war. You may win some battles, but you gotta be smart to win the war.

Fairness is based on the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King that people "should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin". The only difference between the DEI ideology and the KKK ideology is the direction of the descrimination. But you Marxists want racial division for political purposes, don't you Bolshevik Bob?

New College in Sarasota, FLorida is a good example of how DEI pandering in often not the best way to reach thinking minority students. Governor deSantis sought to remake it as a traditional school and appointed trustees to take it in that direction. It was the first state college or university to, on its own, repeal DEI, years before that was done in the state's entire university system. The year after they abolished DEI, black enrollment tripled and Hispanic enrollment doubled. There are apparently a lot of thinking minority students who want to earn their position not be given a free ride.

BCCC pulled a fast one to put in Marxist DEI. They took an existing position that did something else and changed its mission to DEI, then told the woman occupying the position that she had to re-apply to keep her job with its new mission, which she did not do, so they hired a new person to do DEI. When I was in state government, things like that would be fixed by eliminating the position in the budget bill. I hope our county commissioners have the backbone to do that and eliminate this position.

Hopefully, the Board of Governors will finally do the right thing and eliminate this racist and Marxist program and use the money for something more construtive. It is appalling that RINO David Boliek sat on that UNC Board of Governors for years to let all of this evil be funded, and now we are stuck with him as GOP candidate for State Auditor.

Oh, and it is not surprising to see Bolshevik Bob support this Marxist program and to express his racist dislike of white men, who are the targeis of DEI racism.

I understand that this racist garbage has also been brought into Beaufort County Community Collge recently. The county commissioners should be working on the county budget about now, so they need to be eliminating all funding for this evil DEI there.
