'Artistic rebuttal' book thickens

Former local artist and art activist Amy Scheidegger continues to enjoy overwhelming support for her book of 'artistic rebuttals' to those who seek to minimize art's significance. As of Tuesday, Scheidegger reported that over one hundred people from 51 cities have confirmed their participation. Dozens of art appreciators have already submitted their artistic statements for entry into the book. Beaufort County Now published the first batch on Feb. 8, which can be viewed by clicking here; the second batch, on Sunday, which can be viewed by clicking here; and the third batch on Wednesday, which can be viewed by clicking here. The fourth batch of entries is posted, below.

The deadline for submissions is May 15. Directions for submission can be found in her explanation of the book and call for entries, which can be read by clicking here.
