Snow blankets Beaufort County and all of northeastern N.C.

With the the Beaufort County temperature hovering at around 32 degrees (as measured by BCN's Accuweather), and the snow continuing, we are enduring a wet fluffy snow that has accumulated about 2 inches as of 9:00 am. The light snow accumulated most prodigiously on the long limbs and the shorter boughs all about my reporting station in Mac'swood.

Beaufort County Now's Accuweather predicts another inch to fall before the snow begins to taper off around midday. Click here to get the updated weather report and live radar map of the area's climatic activity.

Beaufort County Schools are closed this Thursday, February 10, 2011. Please continue to refer to Beaufort County Now for additional updates.
