The Division of Continuing Education at Beaufort County Community College will offer two sewing classes on Thursdays beginning Jan. 20 and ending March 24 in Room 830 of Building 8 on the BCCC campus.

A class for advanced students will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon. In this class, students will complete projects of their choice according to their sewing skills and interests.

A class for beginning and intermediate students will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. In this class, students will first sew a project chosen by the instructor. Participants will learn about fabrics, patterns, sewing machines and hand-sewing skills.

The registration fee for each class is $39. The instructor is Linda Batchelor. A supply list will be mailed to all students once the minimum number of students has been met. Sewing machines are available for student use; however, students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machines.
