In the wee hours of the morning, we received a communication from Beaufort County Manager, Paul Spruill lifting the State of Emergency, under the authority of the Beaufort County Commission Chairman Jerry Langley.
Simply, the Manager's e-mail stated: "The attached is a copy of the Final Press Release "lifting and terminating" the Limited State of Emergency under the authority of Jerry Langley at 3:00 am Friday morning.
The only exception to this termination is the authority of the County and Cities to continue damage assessment and recovery through at least Tuesday, September 7th."
