The Division of Continuing Education at Beaufort County Community College will offer a marine captain’s license course 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Sept. 15 and ending Dec. 8 in Room 826 on the BCCC campus.
The registration fee is $175. Supplies and books are additional. The registration fee may be waived by students 65 years old and older.
This 60-hour course will prepare students to take the U.S. Coast Guard Marine Captain’s Exam. Boatmanship, rules of the road, chair reading and mapping are just a few of the items covered in this course. It awards six continuing education units.
