On January 15, 2012, the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering at a home on Old Blounts Creek Road in Chocowinity, NC. Patrol Deputies responded to the scene and learned two subjects had entered a residence and removed copper wiring from the walls and ceilings of the mobile home. Deputies collected evidence at the scene and interviewed suspects.
As a result, Sergeant Ernest Moore arrested Steven Lane Inman, age 21, and Heather Elizabeth Ladd, age 26, both of Old Blounts Creek Road in Chocowinity, NC and transported them to the Magistrate’s Office. Inman and Ladd were charged with one count each of Breaking and Entering and one count each of Larceny After Breaking and Entering. Inman was held on a $10,000 secured bond, and Ladd was held on a $5,000 secured bond set by Magistrate Sadler.
