News Release
Today at 8:15am Washington Police, Fire and EMS responded to P. S. Jones Middle School due to a small fire in one of the restrooms.
The fire was quickly contained with minimal damage while students were escorted to safe locations on school grounds. There were no injuries and school has resumed and expect a regular release time.
Police have one juvenile in custody and his information cannot be released. Any further information regarding school procedures will have to come from the school system. No further details of the investigation can be released at this time.
