Kevin Michael Brown and Michael Wayne Stocks for Armed Robbery


    Thursday night around 10:30 pm Washington Police arrested Kevin Michael Brown, age 21 of Pollock Street, New Bern, and Michael Wayne Stocks, age 22 of Windley Rd., Washington. Both were charged with attempted armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Stocks was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Both men were placed in Beaufort County Detention Center with $25,000 bonds each pending appearances.

    The men were apprehended on the scene as officers witnessed conduct that resulted in the charges. "We are aware of activity in many jurisdictions of similar nature. We cannot provide further information at this time as we do not want to jeopardize any ongoing investigations," stated Lt. Chrismon.
