On November 8, 2011, the
Beaufort County Sheriff's Office responded to Trails End South in Washington, NC in reference to a female that called Communications screaming for help. Deputies arrived on scene and found a five year-old child had been splashed in the face with bleach during a domestic dispute. The Sheriff's Office began an investigation and conducted interviews.
As a result of the investigation, Investigator Ernest Moore applied for and obtained a warrant charging Antonio Winters, age 23, of NC Hwy 171 North in Washington, NC with one(1) count of Malicious Throwing of Corrosive Acid or Alkali. Winters was arrested on December 15, 2011 and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond set by Magistrate Curtis.
