    On 12-5-2016, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit arrested, Kameron Sapsford, 31 years of age, of 2897 Whichards Beach Road in Chocowinity and Samuel Sapsford, 59 years of age, of 2897 Whichards Beach Road in Chocowinity.

    Kameron Sapsford was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, Manufacture Marijuana, Possession of Alprazolam a Schedule IV Controlled Substance and Possession of Adderall a Schedule II Controlled Substance.

    Samuel Sapsford was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, Manufacture Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

    Their arrest stemmed from Investigators conducting surveillance on Kameron and Samuel after learning they were purchasing an unusual amount of Pseudoephedrine from multiple pharmacies in Beaufort County. Pseudoephedrine is the main ingredient used in manufacturing Methamphetamines. During surveillance Investigators witnessed Kameron purchasing other items used in manufacturing Methamphetamine such as lithium batteries and petroleum based organic solvents.

    During the investigation Investigators learned that Kameron and Samuel were originally from Florida and Kameron has had prior involvement in Manufacturing Methamphetamine and has a suspended driver's license. Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Kameron and conducted a search. Investigators found Adderall, Alprazolam and digital scales.

    Investigators executed a Search Warrant at their residence and conducted a search. Investigators found an indoor marijuana grow containing 15 marijuana plants, Pseudoephedrine, petroleum based organic solvents, cold packs containing ammonium nitrate, hand written recipe on cooking Methamphetamine and a marijuana smoking pipe containing marijuana.

    Kameron was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $50,000.00 secured bond. Samuel was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000.00
