Out of State and Local Heroin Dealers Arrested, Facing More than 20 Years in Prison | Eastern North Carolina Now

Archie Minor
    On 10-7-2016, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit arrested Archie Minor, 34 years of age, of 1661 Idalia Road in Aurora, Derrick Ford, 40 years of age, of 1813 Millwood Road in Sumter South Carolina and Carlos Cuello, 45 years of age, of 3400 SW 36 CT, West Park in Hollywood Florida.

    They were charged with Trafficking in Heroin, level 3 (more than 28 grams) Trafficking in Cocaine, level 1 (more than 28 grams) and Conspiracy to Traffic in Heroin.

    Their arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of heroin from Minor and conducting surveillance in the Aurora, Edward and Chocowinity area. During the investigation Investigators learned that Ford and Cuello were Minor's main heroin suppliers and transporting heroin into Beaufort County.

    Investigators received information that Minor was meeting with Ford and Cuello in the Chocowinity area to purchase heroin. Investigators conducted surveillance and witnessed Minor get in the back seat of a vehicle driven by Cuello and Ford was a passenger. Investigators conducted a vehicle stop and conducted a search. Investigators found approximately 56 grams of heroin (estimated street value $12,600.00), 98 grams of cocaine (estimated street value $14,700.00) and $1,110 in US currency.

    Minor, Ford and Cuello were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $2,000,000.00 secured bond.

    Level three (3) Trafficking in Heroin is punishable by a minimum mandatory active prison time of 225 months. Level one (1) Trafficking in Cocaine is punishable by a minimum mandatory active prison time of 35 months.
