Press Release:

On September 24, 2015 at approximately 12:51 a.m., Cpl. Michael Sheppard with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office was patrolling the area of River Road in Washington. Cpl. Sheppard checked the plate number of a car in front of him through the NC DMV database. Cpl. Sheppard learned the license plate was valid. Cpl. Sheppard then checked the registered owner's information through the DMV database and learned that the registered owner's license was suspended.
