Larceny, Breaking And Entering | Eastern North Carolina Now

    On October 12, 2014 at approximately 4:55 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of a residential breaking and entering that occurred on Baker Drive in Washington, NC. The victim reported that someone had forcibly entered his home and took car stereo equipment. The victim provided a description of the equipment and a serial number for a stereo that was stolen.

    On October 13th at 7:00 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence on Charlotte Street in Washington after receiving information that some of the stolen equipment was in a car at the location. Deputy James Mills responded and made contact with a subject asleep in a car at the residence. Deputy Mills observed an amplifier reported stolen in the rear passenger area of the car. A receipt showing that the stolen stereo equipment had been sold at a resale business in Greenville, NC was also recovered.

    After conducting interviews and recovering the amplifier, Deputy Mills arrested Prentice

    Barrow Jr., age 21 of Union Street in Belhaven, and Raimelle Peterson, age 16 of Charlotte

    Street in Washington. Barrow and Peterson were both charged with Felony Breaking and Entering and Larceny After Breaking and Entering. Each was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000.00 secured bond set by Magistrate David Curtis.

On Tuesday, February 6, 2024 Mykal Coleman was arrested and confined to the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $75,000.00 secure bond.
On October 9, 2023, Ashun Anthony, age 24 of Washington, NC was indicted by a Beaufort County Grand Jury for the crime of Death by Distribution in connection with the April 29, 2022 death of 31 year old Quintin Freeman

On May 12, 2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Kyle Willis Bailey, 47 years of age, of Washington
On 04/13/2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit, Officers with the Washington Police Department and Probation Officers conducted a search of Germaine Williams residence located at 829 Boston Avenue in Washington.
On 03/11/2023, Patrol Deputies assigned to the Aurora area served arrest warrants on Anthony Bragg, 32 years of age, of 1824 Bay City Road in Aurora.
On 02/7/2023, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Shaquel Collins, 29 years of age, of 113 Days Inn in Washington.
