For the last few weeks, Beaufort County Now has been in a voluntary position of transition, whereby the publication will metamorphose into the most efficient news/information delivery platform in the region. The publication is in its infancy, and I felt it best to go ahead now and push the envelope of our technological abilities to the point that we can be well-proud of our efficient dissimination of online news and information to better serve our growing community of readers.
It has long been my opinion that the news that most effects the individuals of any community is geocentric. I also
firmly believe that Web sites should be more responsive, with ease of navigation, which obviously requires that they (Web sites) must be efficient in their operation to be successful in that interaction with folks who need to know what is occurring in their community. In summary, we just want to make the community's gathering of news more efficient and we wish to encourage their participation: Sending BCN informative posts, witty and biting comments, the announcements of births, deaths, engagements and weddings.
And speaking of engagements, we will publish in our revamped, cutting-edge events calendar any event that is important to you, our readers, and the community. The price to list in our calendar of events, complete with a full page of Web page of data (including pictures), is no charge. We're here to help. Currently our events calendar is listed highest in the search engines of all other events calendars in the region. It is databased by category, and like the rest of our script powering our site, has internal search engine optimization built in. We plan for it to work extremely well.
